Passing this measure will prevent billions in state budget cuts to our local schools and healthcare.

If we don’t pass this measure it will soon mean larger class sizes, laying off teachers, and major cuts to healthcare and Medi-Cal.

This is NOT a new tax and does not raise taxes.

It simply extends the existing tax rates on the wealthiest that have been in place for more than a decade, preventing billions in cuts to public schools and health care.

If we don’t extend the current tax rates, millionaires and billionaires would get a tax cut and pay less in taxes.

California cannot afford to give the wealthiest a tax cut, and they don’t need one.

Signing this petition simply means letting voters decide if we should prevent billions in cuts to our local schools and children's health care by continuing an existing law that only affects the very wealthiest earners.

It is NOT a new tax.
